Interior design is a discipline that looks after designing all
of the interiors of a space. This can include things like
flooring, windows, doors, walls, lighting, furniture, and
miscellaneous design pieces. The goal of interior design is
generally to make a space that is both comfortable and
aesthetically pleasing, often catered specifically to the needs
and likes of the person hiring the interior designer.
Interior design is actually a relatively old discipline,
although historically it was reserved primarily for royalty and
the aristocracy. In the modern world, many people make use of
interior design, either doing it themselves with the assistance
of classes or books, or by hiring an interior designer to assist
them in bringing their vision to life

Interior Decoration is part of what an Interior Designer does,
whereas an Interior Decorator does not move walls, design
skylights and their location.
Interior Designers are also Interior Architects and can focus
solely on Interior Architecture if they choose so.
Furniture is the collective term for the movable objects which may support the human body ,provide storage ,hold objects on horizontal surfaces above the ground. Furniture can be a product of design and is considered a form of decorative art. Furniture can be made using a variety of woodworking joints which often reflect the local culture. With the great efforts from people, governments and companies, in order to manufacture products with more sustainability, there is a new line of furniture design that is based on environmentally friendly design, that is called Ecodesign.
The history of architecture traces the changes in
architecture through various traditions, regions, overarching
stylistic trends, and dates. It makes the student aware about
the ancient architecture of Roman, Greek, Indian and Egyptian,
Neolithic, Islamic and Buddhist architecture.
Graphics is to forecast color trends for use in industries
ranging from architecture and construction to graphic design
and communication.
It makes students aware with different kind of building
material besides the roots of buildings such as foundation
,paneling , brick masonry , and the type of bond
Drafting is 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional view with their
isometric and axonometric projection. Isometric projection
is a method for visually representing three-dimensional
objects in two dimensions in technical and engineering
drawings. It is an axonometric projection..
Accurately forecasting the cost of future projects is vital
to the survival of any business or organization
contemplating future construction. Cost estimators develop
the cost information that business owners or managers,
professional design team members, and construction
contractors need to make budgetary and feasibility
determinations.
From an Owner's perspective the cost estimate may be used to
determine the project scope or whether the project should
proceed. The construction contractor's cost estimate will
determine the construction bid or whether the company will
bid on the construction contract.
